I served in the United States Army from 1989 to 1996. I did my first 4 1/2 yrs. stationed at Fort Sill, Ok. as a fire direction specialist within that time, I deployed with HHB 75TH FA BDE to Operation Desert Shield/Storm and was in theater for a little over 13 months. My second duty station was in Baumholder, Germany and was there for 3 1/2 yrs. within that time I received orders for another deployment in support of a U.N. Peace Mission. I left to go to Bosnia with HHB 4/29 FA BN for Operation Joint Endeavor and was there for a year and that was the end of my career. I had a very fulfilling career with the Army and miss the comradeship with my former members of my units. The VFW very much brings that back to me. I have been the Post Quartermaster since 2015 and currently hold a position as the Service Officer/First Year Trustee and am very active in my district. I look forward to seeing where the organization takes me in the years to come.
